The upcoming martial arts film is a sequel to the 2008 film Ip Man, based on the life of Yip Man, the kung fu master credited with being the first person to teach the art of Wing Chun publicly and known as the teacher of Bruce Lee. Continuing after the events of Ip Man, the sequel centers on Ip’s movements in Hong Kong as he attempts to further the art of Wing Chun.
