Self defense instructors hear some variant on this question all the time: “Of all the self defense tactics you know, which one is the most effective?” Extensive research into hundreds of answers from hundreds of instructors have led to two self defense tactics that cropped up over and over again. Both appear in almost every self defense syllabus from street fighting to military self defense manuals to Jeet Kune Do and even some schools of Aikido. Both of them are somewhat obvious once you hear them, but things you might not actually do unless you know how effective they can be.
I have finally made the martial art of my choice… Jeet Kune Do! But I can’t seem to find any place that teaches it anywhere! Can someone please help me find one near me in San Francisco??
Its the founder of Philipin Arts from Philippines and the student are Dan Inosanto, Leo Giron, Richard Bustillo, Leo Gaje Tortal Sr. and Jr., Mike Inayan, Jersen Nene Tortal Sr. Jr. and all other filipinos learn from Blancia System.
I hear theres only schools in America.
Im wanting to learn it
In all his movies, all the moves were furious clean techniques but there was none of this Summer saults, backflips, kip-ups, or flashy spin kicks like you see in today’s Jet Li martial arts films, or other Chinese movies today.
Was Bruce Lee intentionally only showing things that could work in reality, or did he not know how to do any flashy acrobatic moves?
Because to me, those techniques he used do not much resemble Chinese and Japanese martial arts to me.
Whatever Bruce Lee new, that’s what I’d like to learn.
I know he likes Kung Fu , and is a big fan of Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee
but does anybody know if he actually did any martial art?
