Hilarious Tommy talks bad about people like Jerry Poteet for doing Instructor courses and certifying them to teach JKD in under a week, when Tommy does 5 day camps at 500pounds/750+dollars, after which you can run a group & teach under him, you might not get a nice certificate as Jerry gives you but EXACTLY The same thing! Any ways I think Tommy Carruthers should have shown a little more of his speed in the promo video. It would have converted better.
Look, I have nothing against the guy promoting Krauseworld. My only request is to stop calling the guys “legends”. That’s ridiculous. They’re just a couple of dudes who run a martial arts club in Glasgow. If the Krause brothers had any sense at all then I’m sure they’d be embarassed at that word. Also, I don’t object to criticism of anyone at all but let’s not launch personal attacks against people who aren’t here to defend themselves (especially Jesse Glover). That’s all I have to say.
Nobody is trying to bring down Tommy’s name what rubbish. I’ve said go train with him many times, and if you’re in same area or travelling there book lesson at Krauseworld Intro one is free, and decide for yourself which you like best and which is teaching JKD the best for you.

bigscott by deadliest I mean lethal people many martial artists have been termed deadly does not mean they literally go around killing people,so what are you talking about I’ve no idea.Well aware of Glasgow crime statistics, people there need Krausew & authentic JKD,even just basic ten hour course in the renowned KDS (Krause Defence Systems)will better prepare you for the street than a year or so at Tommy’s place.Nothing wrong with training or Tommy’s but for JKD for the street best to go to KW.

i have known these guys for many years and can say with a great deal of experience that they are not legends, far from it. They are simply about making money. I have never met Tommy but have only heard good things and certiantly his skills are excellent. I would not advise anyone training with these people

Not usually one to join armchair handbag sparrin but I’ve been a student of a few martial arts/combat systems since a was wee and I spent around two years “training” JKD at KW when they were at Cambridge St and left when I was 15 feeling ripped off. It’s the only phase in my learning that I can say was time wasted. I’ve also trained since with several blokes in the forces,BCA and with Rick Young and currently I’m into KM with Nick Maison down south. Even as a kid I could see KW for what it was, like many I started JKD for the no BS element, but as a self confessed little scrote I ultimately left with more skill learned from fighting in the scheme than that place. As said on various forums already, their lessons were touch and go and they had about one competent instructor. You only ever saw either of the dafties at grading (which was a joke as during a spar with a black belt she threw down her pads and stormed off cause I accidently made contact with her leg and I got a bollocking for it and threatened with bein banned)not exactly warrior ethos. The belts were given out to anyone regardless of competancy and I’m sure many of their black belts have since had their faces panned in around various pubs in Glasgow. The blokes themselves can only be described as “unusual”. Call them legends to any well known face on the MA/MMA circuit outside Glasgow and you will have a challenge convincing them. Most haven’t even heard of them which is extremely rare in this country. Business is business but I’d like to think that if I was teaching people how to survive “reality” then I could go to bed at night knowing they were all competent at the basics and had the right attitude. artistbytrade1 they are anythin but lethal “in reality”, I know many blokes with no JKD background who simply put could put them out their misery in a flash. The fact their website claims they are legends says it all really. Save your money, pick a fight with the young team on a friday night and you’ll learn more in 20 minutes than you will a lifetime with them. Or alternatively train with Rick Young
