Welcome back!
Some basic JKD Footwork taught by Ted Wong … Stefan Nikander Ted Wong JKD Jeet Kune Do Sweden Jun fan kune do Bruce Lee Susperia
aYO, Me thinks Sifu Wong is giving too much away on video. Most people don’t deserve it, only a few that have earned it. aYO, I patiently waited almost 15 yrs. to train with Sifu Wong privately & also seminars. Most people don’t appreciate & understand what he has to offer,caught-up politics & intellectual mumbo, jumbo, or intellectually constipated. peace!

Good vid!
How can one NOT be obsessed with footwork?!?! Fighting is all about footwork! Fighting is about creating a situation where you can hit the opponent but he cant hit you.
If you have ever had the honor of seeing Sifu Ted Wong in personal you’d be greatful he was obsessed with footwork.
SteFanJKD from the clips looks like you have a good crew out there.
i wonder how much they charge cuz i have always wanted to learn jeet kun do or wing chun
From 1959-1963, Bruce Lee’s focus was blasting the crap out of a perspective opponent by using modified Wing Chun hand and foot techniques. Seattle Era student James DeMile called it Bruce Lee’s “two seconds” philosophy. Lee began to incorporate boxing punches and footwork during the Oakland Era and by 1967, he began to use the footwork demonstrated by Ted Wong in this video. Chinatown Era students have stated that Bruce began every class by emphasizing the importance of footwork.
obsesed with with Footwork. That was a great comment.
Bruce Lee was just as obsessed, and for a reason
I hope I am for the same reasons, and one has to understand JKD to know the reason…….
Hey this is the old school jeet kune do to 1964-1973 from one of most respected senior instructer
Ted Wong is obsessed with footwork.
i like the vid and ted wong’s stuff is fascinating
but the music…please.
Yo, Jeet Kune Do stance & foot works are based on principles of western fencing & boxing. (period)
I see more & more professional fighters(boxing included) are using strong side forward because of B.Lee’s influences & proven logistics.
Sifu Ted Wong is a true martial artist & a master at his craft. Constantly honing his skills & evolving. Yo, y’all, It’s NOT about the MORE (techniques) but the QUALITY & EFFICIENCY!. peace!
Nope! Not Muay Thai, any style or label. It’s simplicity, & a most efficient way to deliver a kick or punch.(streamline) Muay Thai is a very formidable fighting art, sport ,no doubt.
peace!
JKD footwork is the best in my opinion is very well balanced and very fluid
Chemistry! Awesome song choice!
is that meant to be a muay thai round kick at 2:06? Because if it is he’s doing it wrong.
TED WONG is one of the world leaders in J.K.D. it would be a mistake to pass up the chance to train with him even at a seminar. Maybe someday I will get my chance.
wong is the best of the world!!!
WAY TO GO SIFU TED WONG!
Top of the Top
bello
Si-Fu Ted Wong is amazing. One of the greatest video about Footwork in JKD!!!
Footwork is very important in every martial art: jkd, Kali, Tae Kwon Do,etc.
I’m waiting for vol 2… 5 stars for this video!
